The Oaxacan Painter's Museum: Across the street from the Zocalo is the "Museo de los Pintores Oaxaqueños". A beautiful two story, 17th century construction with a large indoor patio and various halls where the artwork of the best Oaxacan artists are frequently displayed. Ask for the dates of future art exhibits in the entrance.
